Dark Circles

Common in both men and women, dark circles under the eyes can often go hand in hand with puffiness, causing a person to look tired and aged.

Although this condition is often associated with fatigue, common causes include genetics, ageing, dehydration and sun exposure

An inherited trait that may start to develop in childhood, this condition may deepen as a person gets older, with darker complexions more likely to be affected. Dark circles can also result from any inherited medical conditions such as thyroid disease.

The process of ageing is a natural occurrence that causes thinning of the skin and loss of elasticity. The skin loses collagen and fat, leading to more visible blood vessels and a darker appearance under the eyes.

Dehydration happens when your body doesn’t receive adequate fluid levels. This results in skin that becomes dry and dull, and the eyes becoming sunken. Sun exposure can contribute to dehydrated skin, but this can also lead to pigmentation issues and subsequent darkening of the skin.

Whilst there are things you can do at home to try and reduce the appearance of dark circles, PPP Laser Clinic have procedures and products designed specially to treat the eyes. They take a more gentle approach, tailored to suit this delicate area of the face. You can receive a careful rejuvenation of the eye area, looking more youthful and alert.
